Rama General, LLC is a residential construction contractor serving Anchorage and the surrounding areas. We are a fully licensed, bonded and insured residential construction company serving Alaskans since 2015.
About the Owner, Rama Ishaya
Rama Ishaya is a lifelong Alaskan who grew up in Anchorage. His first experiences in construction were alongside his uncle Tom Keane of TK Builders. From 2009 to 2015, Rama gained mechanical and trade skills as a Bristol Bay captain upgrading and maintaining his fishing boat. In 2014 Rama moved to Fairbanks, where he worked as a general carpenter before going out on his own and starting Fairbanks Residential Contractors. In 2018, Rama moved back to Anchorage, and Rama Builders began.
In addition to his experience in construction, Rama is also an artist with a BA in piano performance from UAA and a lifetime love of jazz music. Rama lives and works in West Anchorage with his wife, Ellie, and their two young children, Leland and Aurelia. He loves family hike days, Alaskan adventures, playing chess, and keeping up his chops on the piano.
